<p><span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Pony Island is a short and unusual production for the PC platform, combining classic arcade titles with a logical game. It is the work of independent creator Daniel Mullins, known from Grav (2013) and educational Agent Maxwell: Master of Math. Pony Island was created as part of the 31st edition of the Ludum Dare competition in 2014, and two years later it made its debut on the Steam platform.</span></span><br /> <br /> <span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">In Pony Island, we play the role of a player who begins the adventure with a fictional production of the same name. It quickly turns out that the program does not work as it should, and despite its innocent name, it has a hellish origin. Our goal is to outsmart the sinister app and its creator and thus save the hapless souls trapped in the app.</span></span><br /> <br /> <span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">The gameplay in Pony Island looks very unusual. Initially, the game appears to be a purely arcade title straight from 8-bit computers, in which we control a pony moving to the right and avoid obstacles. However, after a while, the pleasant and uninhibited fun changes, forcing us to deal with subsequent logic games related to hacking and programming. As we progress through the stages, the puzzles become more complicated and the skill levels become more challenging.</span></span><br /> <br /> <span style="font-size:12px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">An important feature of Pony Island is the constant demolition of the fourth wall. One way or another, the title abolishes the line between fiction and reality. On the virtual computer desktop you will find smaller games and text files with Pony Island walkthroughs. Conversely, conversations with characters - be it the creator of a fictional game or a mysterious user of "H0peles $ 0uL" - are conducted through the chat windows.</span></span></p>
