The American campaign, on the other hand, begins during the famous D-Day and takes the player through other important events, including those involving Hill 400.<br> <br> <strong>Gameplay</strong><br> Call of Duty 2 is a first-person shooter game, which means that you will spend most of your time running from point to point to complete your objectives while killing enemy soldiers. It's important to remember that you're not the chosen one, and you'll easily die if you're unaware - if you want to succeed, you'll need to work with other soldiers who can draw enemy fire or lay down cover for you.<br> <br> The game features many historically faithful weapons from World War II. Defeated enemies drop their weapons - you can pick them up and use them, but you can only wield two firearms at a time. Combined with limited ammunition, you are encouraged to use whatever you can find. Groups of enemies can be defeated with fragmentation grenades, and smoke grenades provide tactical cover.<br> If you die before reaching a checkpoint, you will have to start over from the last one.<br> <br> <strong>Reception</strong><br> CoD 2 on PC received positive reviews.
